Abstract
The purpose. Disclose the contribution of Academician V.I. Vernadsky in the formation and development of domestic agricultural experimental deed as a field of knowledge and organization. Methods. General scientific — analysis, synthesis, classification; historical — problem-chronological, comparative-historical, retrospective and periodization. Results. The author showed the legacy of the scientist in the field of morphological and genetic soil science. He highlighted the scientist’s role in the organization and activities of the Agricultural Scientific Committee (St. Petersburg) and the Agricultural Scientific Committee of Ukraine, the predecessor of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine. The activity of V.I. Vernadsky as the organizer of the national scientific and educational process also described in the article. Conclusions. First, the author developed the periodization of V.I. Vernadsky’s creative activities.Key words: V.I.
