Abstract
Goal. To study the current state of the soil cover and propose measures to restore agricultural lands disturbed as a result of military operations. Methods. Analysis, synthesis, theoretical generalization, expert, profile-analytical, cartographic. Results. The results of theoretical and experimental studies of disturbed lands that have undergone degradation as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation are presented. Attention is focused on the change in the ecological and toxicological state of the soil cover caused by combat operations. An agro-ecological survey of the disturbed lands was carried out, and an excess of the maximum permissible concentrations (MPC) of heavy metals by 2–4 times was determined: copper, lead, zinc, and cadmium, which were used in the composition of various ammunition and as sets of shock-incendiary composition. The main measures for restoration of disturbed agricultural lands using reclamation and conservation with the aim of restoration of soil cover, fertility, and further use are proposed. Conclusions. To restore agricultural lands and restore their fertility, it is necessary to ensure the implementation of priority tasks on sustainable management of soil resources at the national level. As a result of hostilities, the soil cover undergoes a powerful negative impact and destruction, which requires the use of restoration measures, in particular, cleaning, reclamation, and soil conservation.
