Abstract

Goal. To study the ethological parameters of cows transferred from the distribution shop to the milk production shop, using intensive milk production technology. Methods. Generally accepted zootechnical, statistical, and economic. Results. The efficiency of the operation of dairy farms depends on the principle of the formation of technological groups of dairy cows. In the case of keeping animals in the milk production shop and the distribution and insemination shop, it is recommended to keep their groups, which were created taking into account milk yield levels, constant. Chronometric observations made it possible to study the activity of animals at different times of the day, establish the influence of their behavior on the average daily yield and quality indicators of milk, and provide recommendations on the daily dose of concentrated feed. Conclusions. It is impossible to completely avoid the regrouping of animals during their stay in the milk production plant, but it is recommended to reduce their number to a minimum. During the entire period of lactation, dairy cows should be kept in stable conditions, taking care of their comfort and peace. Knowledge of the behavior of cows, which is subject to certain laws, is the basis for the application of technologies and the organization of production, prevents violations of the vital processes of animals, and contributes to their high productivity.
