Ensuring the sustainable development of small farms in the conditions of martial law

Abstract
Goal. To determine the organizational and economic problems of the development of small farms in the conditions of martial law and post-war recovery. Methods. The methodological basis of the research was general scientific and special methods, in particular: abstract, analysis and synthesis, calculation-constructive, comparison, and graphic. Results. The role of farms in ensuring agricultural production and the development of the agrarian sector in the conditions of martial law was studied. The main types of development problems were outlined and attention was focused on the need to increase state support for farms. The dynamics of the level of their economic efficiency in the pre-war period and in the conditions of martial law were evaluated. The main income-generating types of products for small farms in Ukraine were determined. The key factors hindering the development of youth farming were highlighted, and the need to create favorable conditions for its rise as a way of ensuring youth employment in rural areas was substantiated. The main factors for ensuring the sustainable development of farms were identified. Conclusions. Small farms face many organizational, financial, informational, and legislative problems in the course of their activities. The set of measures aimed at solving them will have a positive effect on ensuring the sustainable development of small farms and the rapid post-war recovery of rural areas.
