Land management as a science and its importance in the conditions of modern land relations in Ukraine

Abstract

Goal. To conduct a comprehensive analysis of land management as a science in the context of modern land relations in Ukraine. Consider the subject and object of the science of land management, taking into account the transformation processes in the land sector; explore its methodological principles and theoretical system that ensure sustainable development and rational use of land resources of the country; analyze current challenges and trends in the conditions of market transformations, decentralization of power, and overcoming the consequences of hostilities. Methods. Methods of systematic review and conceptual analysis (for the study of scientific works), historic-genetic (for the study of the evolution of the science of land management), abstract (for theoretical generalizations regarding the subject, object, and methodology of the science), as well as the method of generalization (for the formulation of conclusions and proposals) were used. Results. Directions for improving the scientific and methodological apparatus of land management for solving modern problems related to land relations in Ukraine were proposed. Conclusions. It was proved that land management formed as a fundamental interdisciplinary science and applied field, which studied the laws, principles, methods, and mechanisms of distribution, organization of land use, and protection in multidimensional space. This definition of land management is reflected in the modern scientific understanding of its subject, object, methodology, and theoretical system in the conditions of modern land relations in Ukraine.
